Bravura Information Technology Systems has received a $305 million U.S. Army contract for support of the Persistent Surveillance Systems-Tethered aerostat program.
The cost-plus-fixed fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract came about after four bids were received online.
The estimated completion date is July 2020. Funding and work location will be determined with each order. The Army Contracting Command is the contracting activity.
The tethered aerostats support intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions with dual sensor capability that provides high-resolution electro-optic, infrared capabilities.
It allows quick reaction forces to find, fix, track, target and engage direct or indirect fire threats.
It also provides support for force protection and allows for the extension of communication networks beyond the line of sight.
