The U.S. Army has given CACI International a $34 million contract to continue supporting advancements in night vision and sensor systems.
The contract has a one-year base performance period with a one-year option. It was issued by the Army's Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate under the Strategic Services Sourcing contract vehicle.
"CACI has supported the Army's Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate for many years and has a keen understanding of its mission," said CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury. "This contract continues our dedicated services for this important customer while enabling technological advancements that all the military services and Department of Defense entities can use to identify and target global threats."
The Army's Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate conducts research and development of advanced technologies, such as infrared weapon sights and surveillance systems.
CACI said that under the contract it will provide program management and systems engineering support for the development and advancement of electro-optical and infrared sensor components for detecting and identifying air, sea and ground targets.
