The U.S. Army's Software Engineering Center is to receive engineering and technical support from CACI International through a three-year task order.
The award from the Army's Communications-Electronics Command Software Engineering Center, or CECOM, directly supports a program to ensure software readiness for Army C4ISR and logistics systems.
The program is called Software and Systems Engineering Services Next Generation, or SSES NexGen program. C4ISR is the acronym for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
CACI said that under the task order the company will support the C3T Army Reprogramming Analysis Team in developing and fielding software for use in electronic warfare systems to identify threats and to support commanders.
"This award on the SSES NexGen vehicle continues CACI's record of success supporting the U.S. Army's Software Engineering Center, said CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury. "As our fifth award on this contract, it demonstrates the Army's confidence in our ability to deliver next-generation software that helps commanders make tactical decisions based on the changing warfighting conditions on the battlefield."
The three-year task order is comprised of a one-year period of performance plus two option years. It is worth $86 million.
