Saab is to continue maintenance and upgrades to the air traffic management and airport systems of the Swedish Air Force.
The extension of services is for three years with a three-year option.It was issued by the Swedish Defense Material Administration, or FMV.
"The agreement means that Saab will have ongoing technical responsibility for system coordination as well as for maintaining and developing infrastructure linked to the air traffic management and airport systems of the Swedish Air Force," Saab said. "Saab is also responsible for ensuring that the requirements related to the authorization to run the military airports are met."
The Air Force's air traffic management system includes several products from Saab's portfolio of systems for air traffic management towers to create an integration of various systems.
The agreement includes maintenance, upgrades and replacement of equipment at Swedish military airports and Air Force bases.
The monetary value of the agreement was not disclosed.
